Some are born with versatility; Some acquire it. Some stay put to their employment, while some learn entrepreneurship and become their own boss; This is the case of a Nigerian Ex-Banker, Trained Pharmacist from Ahamadu Bello University, Nigeria who is all to the later above. He is the CEO of Business BluePrints Nigeria.
Mr Gabriel Gambo Nmadu, Pharmacist by training who turned a banker and worked for two years as the Officer Supervising ATM and money transfer throughout all the northern branches of a third generation Bank had a clear goal before venturing into these industries; He wanted to be an entrepreneur and have financial freedom being his own boss.
After leaving the University, he worked as a Sales Representative in a Pharmaceutical company where he horned his marketing skills before moving to the banking industry.
When he resigned from the Bank, what was he going to do seeing that many people want to work in the Banking Industry, Start Your Own Business Magazine asked the unassuming Gabriel; He said “I have learned earlier while in school that the only way to have financial freedom was to follow your labour of love; by this I mean, do what you love doing without seeing it as work; I also know from reading and studying of successful people that the only way to make more money is to own my business. So I was working with the targeted time frame of starting my business, clearly as an Author and IT Consultant, which I have been living the dream today”
Gabriel started his journey in the Internet Marketing field 2007 when he set up his first blog. His love for the internet lead him to attend several trainings and workshops learning all the necessary skills for success in internet marketing including Henry Omenogor’s Date with Destiny Internet BootCamp Now Internet Marketing Online Cass in 2008.
He is a lover of knowledge and this has paid off for him today. He is a web designer, blogger, internet marketing consultant and trainer, and author. He has the spirit of entrepreneurship engrained in his bones which led to his resignation for a highly paying bank job to set up his own company. He is a strong believer that the worker is no different from the slave. While working, he was at his spare time working on his entrepreneurial skills and by the time he was ready to move out, there was no looking back.
To Gabriel’s Credit, it is on record that he was one of the biggest blogger on the Big Brother Reality show and was able to build his fan page to more than 26,000 fans and still counting. This showed his social media management skills. He also built websites to follow some specific events like the Royal Wedding of England, the 9-11 anniversary which all has large readership.
Gabriel is the Author of Three Books, two of them selling in Nigeria and Ghana. His business books are How to Earn Solid Income Online and How to Start, Manage, Fund and Sustain Your Business… He is also the Author of Christian Faith Book, Anglicanism at a Glance.
He is latest work is the launching of a website that makes premium internet marketing tools available to Nigerians which is called Leech Marketing
He believes that the internet holds enough potential for the unemployed to help them create a source of legitimate income.
His advise to workers, his advice to them is “to look within them for that unique trait God has placed in them”. And to his former colleagues (Bankers) that “no matter how long they work in someone else’s company, they can never be greater than the owner and one day they will leave the company and go. Therefore, have plans to start their business as soon as they can.
